Edinburgh from Salisbury Crags.
The forecast for the weather in Edinburgh was good for flying my drone, a bit windy before 1900, and the wind died down and was able to see a partial sunset as well. So it was safe to fly my drone on Salisbury crags. I took images and video yesterday, and put up my video on my YouTube channel. I got the bus threw to Edinburgh and walked along Princess Street, the bridges, Royal Mile, then onto the Salisbury Crags at Arthur Seat end. I got there in plenty of time, getting into a nice place for a composition. It was a bit windy, then the wind died down. I took several images and video.
Edinburgh as the sun was setting on the horizon from Salisbury Crags.
The Capital looks very nice in the golden hours, and it would look really nice from here in the winter with some snow. I will go here again and take more images during the golden hours in the right conditions.
I moved from here to Carlton Hill to capture the moon rise and took video of the city close up, It was a great location to capture video and images, I got there at sun set,(1955), then 15 minutes later I managed to get the moon rise. It was busy on Carlton hil and if you visit Edinburgh I would recommend going to Salisbury Crags and Carlton Hill. The views are stunning.
Edinburgh is always on my list for photography, I maybe get close to the castle next time and around Princess Street Gardens.
