Forth Road Bridge - last light.
Forth Road Bridge, last light. Long exposure between showers.
I got my camera out again a few days ago during sun set after a couple of heavy showers. (Sometimes it can be a bit of luck setting up the camera between showers to get an image). Autumn is coming, and I like this season because the nights are drawing in, and I do not have to be out for hours, getting sun set images, or getting up really early for the sun rises now.
This image was taken from my old Nikon D5100 on a tripod, with a 10 stop ND filter, on the 10-24mm wide angle lens. I am lucky that I live ten minutes from the bridges on the River Forth.
I also took an image yesterday from my drone during last light, as the sun had already set. I stitched 5 images together in LR, and edited the final image. I will be getting out more with my camera and drone over the next 4 months or so. The last time I was out with my camera was at the start of August, as a wedding photographer. The Bride and Groom were very happy with their images, so, I was really happy too. I will put up yesterdays image below.
5 images stitched together in LR of the iconic forth road bridges. Last light, 15 mins after sun set, around 2025hrs. North Queensferry.
I do love my Mavic Mini 4 Pro drone, its very versatile, and excellent in low light. Easy to pack away into a small daysack as a scout for images. I also carry a set of ND and a polarising filters for my drone at all times, including at least two fully charged batteries.
I have nice images of the bridges to date, and I will continue to take more from my drone or DSLR. I will either go to South Queensferry or North Queensferry, depending on the light and time of day, and what mood I would like to see in the images.
On my way back home there was nice light on the Queensferry Crossing bridge, I almost stopped the car to get an image of the bridge, ill save it for another day.
Also, I need to continue building up my website with more blogs and images. This Friday looks good for a local sunrise, so keep an eye out just in case I blog, or put up another image. Sun set and rises are the best times for me, as I like the colours and dark shadows to my images, rather than having to deal with harsh or flat light.
Thank you for looking at my images and reading my blog. I will post again soon.
